Areas of Specialty

Wound, Ostomy and Continence (WOC) Services

wound nurse

WOC is a department that provides specialized wound, ostomy and continence care. Nurses provide a multidisciplinary approach to complicated wound problems, including venous and arterial ulcers, fistulas, draining wounds and skin irritation. Nurses work with the ostomy patients in a team approach to promote independence post operatively. Staff members see patients ranging from neonates to the elderly. Staff members serve as consultants for the nursing staff as well as providing hands-on care for patients.
