H1N1 flu symptoms and information


Fever  greater than 100° F and respiratory symptoms (which may include cough, sore throat, runny nose).

Persons with symptoms of swine flu should stay home until symptoms resolve.

Call your physician or visit Priority Care on MacArthur Ave. in Springfield between 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. if symptoms worsen.

Persons with swine flu symptoms who should seek medical attention include those who:

  • cannot keep fluids down,
  • experience shortness of breath,
  • have sudden confusion, 
  • have blue tinged lips/fingers, or
  • have an underlying medical condition such as pregnancy
  • are over 65 years, under 2 years,
  • are patients age 19 and younger on chronic aspirin therapy.
