Our health care experts help cardiac patients improve the quality of their lives by emphasizing exercise and education.
This medically prescribed program is for patients who have been discharged from the hospital. The group meets three days a week for 12 weeks.
This maintenance exercise program is for patients who:
- have just completed Phase II cardiac rehabilitation;
- have known heart disease or risk factors for heart disease; and/or
- have been referred by their physician.
Patients in this medically supervised program receive an exercise prescription. They have the opportunity to improve or maintain their cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscle strength and endurance.
Phase III classes are held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30 am; 9 am; 10:30 am; 12:30 pm; 2:30 pm; and 4-6 pm.
Stay Fit exercise program
This program is for individuals interested in beginning an exercise program. The classes meet in the Cardiac Rehab facility at the Prairie Heart Institute. All activity is supervised by an exercise specialist/physiologist.
Each participant’s medical history is reviewed so an appropriate exercise prescription can be developed to help meet the individual’s fitness needs.
Stay Fit classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:30 am; 9 am; 10:30 am; 12:15 pm; 1:30 pm; and 4-6 pm. *Optional: Saturday 8-11 am.
